Annual Poker Ride

Riding - Packing - Driving

2005 Poker Ride
An annual event and the main fund raiser for the organization, the Poker Ride is during Memorial Day weekend (May 26 & 27th 2008) each year and is held at the Flying M Ranch near Yamhill Oregon. The ride is Saturday and Sunday during Memorial Day weekend and riders need to check in by 11AM. The ride is typically about 3 hours long and will cover many types of terrain. We try to make an interesting and challenging ride, but try to make it safe as well. Please plan on joining us for this fun time. For those not understanding what a Poker Ride is, riders (and non-riders) can purchase "hands" of cards (each hand is $5 or 5 for $20). There are stations during the ride where cards are drawn and at the end of the ride many prizes are awarded depending on the hand drawn. No experience with cards is needed! In addition there are several raffles, including a saddle which are awarded to a lucky person. Many people have been coming to this ride for many years. Please come join us for this enjoyable weekend and to keep this ride continuing! Camping is available at the Flying M Ranch, ride for one or both days. Horses and mules are both welcome.

Resting after the ride
This is the 2007 Poker Ride at the Flying M Ranch. The trail were great this year, and the camping was a lot better than expected! There is more room for campers than the previous year. We hope to have a great poker ride next year 2008.
This is Don, one of out club memebers parking cars at the 2007 Poker Ride.
This is one of our smaller club members.
The riders are waiting for the prizes to be given out.
Join our club for great Riding experiences, to raise money for youth equestrian groups.

Donations for prizes are Welcome and appreciated! And tax deductable.
